The Awakening Shift

As we move toward next week now is a good time to begin to prepare for the special energies headed our way on Monday, June 21, when the summer solstice occurs. This is one of Gaia’s seasonal cycles and honoring the cycles of the Earth is one way to acknowledge her aliveness and becoming more in sync with her.  More than any other time in history we are being called by Gaia’s spirit to acknowledge her aliveness.

Summer Solstice

As the Earth moves through her seasonal cycles, she expresses a certain energy that relates to that part of the cycle.   In New Earth: Calendars & Seasonal Cycles, I compare the four seasonal starting points to the cycles of a plant’s growth. The summer solstice represents the peaking of the cycle which the plants express as bursting forth with flowers.  Ralph Waldo Emerson said it best – the Earth laughs in flowers.

Earth Laughs in Flowers

The Earth’s laughter – these flowers – shower us with their beautiful colors, smells and energy of aliveness.  Have you noticed that when you bring a bouquet of fresh flowers into the room, it lifts the energy of the room?  This is because the life force energy, known as chi, is so strong in flowers.  It is actually concentrated in the flowers, so much so, that this high energy can actually be collected through a special process and made into flower essences. These essences can be used to heal our bodies and minds. The most well known ones are the the Bach essences.   A favorite of mine are the Alaskan Essences.

The Earth gifts us this time of year with these special high energies that we can enjoy in a bouquet or we can use for healing.  So as Gaia laughs, she gifts us with her aliveness, her chi that is now in the flower.  Flower essences are a gift of healing from Gaia.

Sentient Being

So connect with this joy of the Earth laughing and feel your heart open.  Imagine smelling a flower, and then bring to mind scenes from beautiful places on the Earth you have visited. Just allow these scenes and feelings to connect you to a knowing that the Earth is an awesome, amazing, sentient being. Revel in the awe of this special being.  Savor this deeply so it is really anchored in your body’s knowing.

With this knowing, allow yourself to get in touch with what your heart calls you to do to honor Gaia and show appreciation for all she does to sustain life. Maybe you want to go green, recycle, be more aware of how your spending and investing affects the Earth, or simply just get out in nature more and connect with her energy of aliveness, all the while expressing appreciation.

Love Our Mother – the Earth

If every human on the planet could connect with this energy of the Earth, each would be motivated from an inner place in their hearts to honor her sacred body.  There would be no oil spills, no polluting the land and rivers because it would be an unbearable thing to do – no human’s heart could stand the pain of doing that.  This is the New Consciousness.  This is how a New Earth will be birthed and this how the new human, homo luminous, will live in love with its Mother – the Earth.
