We have a power packed eclipse series happening this month. It is an opportunity to step into higher consciousness and to create a New Earth. Normally we would have just two eclipses at a time but this summer there are three. The normal pattern is one solar eclipse and one lunar eclipse that occur 2 weeks apart. The extra solar eclipse creates a four week period of powerful energies for making significant life changes. All of this is coupled with the last wave of the Mayan Calendar, which causes us to feel as if time is speeding. The summer solstice on June 21 occurs also in this month adding to the intense energies.
A Solar eclipse happens when the moon lines up with the sun in the sky. As the moon comes between the sun and the Earth it disrupts the flow of energies streaming from the sun. Light encodes information and this disruption creates a reboot or reorganization in our consciousness. Often with Solar Eclipses, we experience new beginnings.
With a Lunar Eclipse, the moon moves through the shadow of the earth activating the unconscious mind. Feelings, memories and past experience may surface. Often information will come to light that causes us to change. To help you move through this powerful time with purpose, I have given a description of the energies unfolding in each of the eclipses.
Summer Eclipses:
June 1 Solar Eclipse – The first eclipse occurred on June 1 in the sign of Gemini. The zodiac sign Gemini deals with the mind and thinking process. This eclipse caused you to examine your thoughts, beliefs and paradigms. We know that as we go about creating our reality, the focus of our thoughts and feelings are what create our world. This eclipse dealt specifically with old paradigms and old ways of thinking that needed to go. The theme of this eclipse was to examine and let go of old beliefs that are creating realities that do not serve us.
June 15 Lunar Eclipse – The second eclipse occurs on June 15 at 4:14 pm EDT in the sign of Sagittarius. This eclipse takes the thinking process to a higher level allowing us to see a bigger truth. The sign of Sagittarius deals with expansion, seeing the big picture, and questing for a higher truth. The Galactic Center, which is even more expansive, is located in Sagittarius very close to this eclipse, so again we are being stretched to see a much bigger picture than our human mind has been able to in the past. Part of working with the energies of this eclipse is to ask where we have been deceiving ourselves so we can take our heads out of the sand. The theme of this eclipse is to replace the old beliefs you released with a much bigger picture.
July 1 Solar Eclipse – The third eclipse occurs on July 1 at 4:54 am EDT in the sign of Cancer. This last eclipse of the series is definitely the finale. This solar eclipse is very dynamic as three other planets lend their energies to the sun and moon during the eclipse. The planets create a square in the sky releasing very transformational energies giving us a tailwind to bring our bigger picture into reality. The helping planets are: Uranus, shaking us out of the old rut into a new beginning, Saturn, giving us the discipline to more forward into our new paradigm and Pluto, helping us to evaporate our fears and own our power. The theme of this powerful solar eclipse is a complete transformation in some areas of our life.
The affect of eclipses are neither good nor bad. Just a focus of intense energy that you can use in any way you choose. Using it intentionally with awareness is the ideal way to move through this summer.
