I’m Reba and I’d like to share how my path brought me to writing this blog.
First off, I love to share information, network and connect with people. When something crosses my path that helps me or makes my life better, I delight in sharing it with others.
So here’s what led me to this subject. Even though I grew up on a farm in Kentucky, I have always been drawn to the most cutting edge ideas and always wanted to stretch myself and understand the bigger picture. Being an astrologer, I had learned in the early 90’s about the planetary alignment in 2012. Since that time I have felt drawn to perform some kind of service connected to the change. When I conceived the idea of doing a blog to help people prepare for the coming shift, it seemed like a perfect fit for me. So here’s how it started.
The Awakening Shift is birthed in my life….
After the new millennium, I read everything I could find about 2012 and the shift that was headed our way. As my knowledge grew, I was fascinated by what seemed to be unfolding and wanted to share all that I had learned with others. I designed a class call Road to 2012 – Navigational Guide for a Joyful Journey and presented it on January 7, 2007 at one of the most unlikely places on the planet, Greybull, Wyoming. Thirteen people in that small town came. They sensed something big was happening and were full of questions and enthusiasm.
From Wyoming, I was on my way to Florida. When the minister of my new thought church in Tampa heard about the class, she wanted me to speak to the congregation on the very next Sunday about 2012. Back in the Northwest in March, I presented the class at a New Age bookstore. Forty five people showed up to learn about 2012. And on it went…people asking for information about the coming change. That is how I started sharing my knowledge about the Awakening Shift.
Background in Communication
My background has trained me for being a “voice” for these changing times. I have a degree in education and did a brief teaching stint in the public schools. Later, I started my own training business and transferred those skills to training and professional speaking in the business world. That period of time also included writing a couple of newsletters and doing the tech editing for a metaphysical book series published by Alpha books. All excellent training to communicate about something I am as passionate about as I am the awakening shift.
Experience in Metaphysics
I had developed an interest in metaphysics in the early 70’s and began to explore astrology, numerology, crystals, the tarot, etc. Astrology really called to me so I focused on taking classes, workshops and going to astrology conventions to learn all I could. I became a professional astrologer and received certification from the American Federation of Astrologers. Much of the shift is focused around the ending of great cycles of time, so astrology serves me quite well in understanding this aspect of the shift.
Connecting with the Aliveness of the Earth
I moved to the Northwest in the late 80’s where Native American influence is quite strong. As I became immersed in their culture, I developed the same deep respect that Native Americans have for the earth and all of life. I began connecting with the earth through ceremony and honoring the natural cycles of the Earth’s seasons. Their cultural beliefs have helped me attune to the aliveness of the earth and see the oneness in all of life. This, I believe, is one of the key concepts we must embrace to align with the new energies on our planet.
Exploring Energy & Quantum Physics
And the final step was developing an interest in the quantum physics concepts of energy. As I read about quantum physics, the Heisenberg principle, etc. a fascinating picture began to emerge. It seemed clear that we live in a huge energy field and that our bodies, our homes – everything consists of vibrating energy.
This fascination with energy led to the study of Feng Shui, which deals with how the energy in our living environment impacts us. In 2001, I studied with Denise Linn in her School of Interior Alignment and received my Feng Shui certification. Doing Feng Shui and Energy Clearing ceremonies in people’s homes has taught me so much about the powerful impact of energy on people’s lives.
And finally I began to work with the body’s energy field through a process called the Lightbody Activation. As I adjusted and balanced the body’s energy field, amazing shifts happened for people. Doing this also has caused me to be more sensitive to different energy levels and has shown me how “real” the unseen world is.
Exploring energy in these different ways has caused me to grasp the importance of the main concept of the awakening shift: change in the energy vibration on the planet. Our biggest preparation for learning to live in these changing times will involve learning how to move our focus from living in the dense material world to living in a lighter world of energy.
A Voice for Awakening
I am blending the knowledge and expertise I have gained from these modalities to be a voice for awakening and to offer ideas on how to move through these changing times with grace and ease.
There is a new world to be created. We do have a choice in how that creation turns out. I plan to use this blog to help give rise to a world that sustains and supports life in a peaceful, harmonious, healthy and happy way.
