I am sure you have noticed that you life is shifting quickly now – shaking and moving in an intense way. In my last post, I wrote about the higher vibrational energies flooding the Earth bringing a New Consciousness and birthing a new human, homo luminous.
These energies are originating from various sources. The galactic center, the world tree, and the photon band, a very high vibrational band of energy through which our solar system is now passing, are all sources of these higher energies. In my earlier post about the Galactic Alignment, you can read John Major Jenkins’s ideas concerning the energies flowing from the galactic center. In the Great World Ages about Carl Calleman’s work, you can find out about waves of energy flowing from the World Tree which is actually located on the Earth. Calleman wrote a comment on that post to further explain how the world tree works and how we are all in resonance with it.
Are you feeling the birthing pains of the new Consciousness? Is your life or the life of your friends changing dramatically, falling apart, in crisis or chaos?? If so, those are birthing pains of the new consciousness. What is happening here? Well, there are a lot of intense energies flooding the Earth with higher vibrational energies of the new consciousness. So anything in your life that does not match that high level of vibration is being transformed or cleansed so that you can live happily in the new energy.
Now this probably doesn’t feel good and you are wondering how any good could come from it. You’ll need to shift how you view it to understand how you really are headed toward a more harmonious and peaceful life. Let’s say your health or your marriage or maybe your job is falling apart. Look and notice what is not working about it and how, in fact, it probably has not been working for a while…maybe even years. The “not working” part is the lower vibration I am referring to. Now if it did not fall apart, you’d just keep on keeping on and not make any change. But that lower energy cannot exist in the higher energy of the new consciousness so your higher self is trying to detox that from your body, mind and spirit so that a new you can embrace the new consciousness and all of the peace, abundance and happiness it brings.
A New Earth is birthing and we are all midwives. With tomorrow being Earth Day, this is a perfect time to reassess your connection to the Earth and find out what you can do to help. I have an article titled Birthing a New Earth: You Too Are a Midwife, in this month’s edition of Seattle’s New Spirit Journal.
There is information about how and why a New Earth is birthing plus how it is connected to 2012.There are suggestions for what you can do to facilitate the birth of a New Earth. The first one is to “Be a lighthouse emitting gratitude and appreciation”. These emotions vibrate at 0.10 hertz, which is the quality of energy that heals the earth. To read more, go the New Spirit Journal and scroll to page 10.
I encourage you to take time tomorrow to send loving energy to the earth through this special 24 hour healing broadcast that is directed at healing the earth, sun, oceans, animals, humans and water. Contributing your loving energy could help create a critical mass in the zero point field for a powerful healing for the Earth and our solar system.
John Major Jenkins, the most credible of all the Mayan researchers, is responsible for creating awareness of the galactic alignment and for providing information on why the December 21, 2012 date is important. He also discovered the true day count of the Mayan calendar amongst the many versions that are being used.
Jenkins research shows the Maya knew about an alignment of the sun with the center of the Milky Way that happens only once every 26,000 years. They depicted this information in the architecture of their buildings, specifically at Izapa. After discovering the galactic alignment, Jenkins was able to use this information as a springboard for his other discoveries – the correct day count and the correct end date of the Mayan calendar.
There is such a buzz about the Mayan Calendar right now – when it ends, what it means, and which one to use. Since the Mayan Calendar serves as the foundation of the 2012 movement, I want to clarify some of the concerns surrounding it. In this post and the next three I’ll cover the basics of what you need to know to understand how the calendar shapes the whole 2012 picture and how it can provide value for you.
This need to clarify the Mayan Calendar arose out of an effort last week to write a post on how time is speeding up. As I started to write, I realized that time acceleration can most easily be explained by the Mayan calendar. With that in mind, I could see that I needed to lay some ground work about the Mayan Calendar as there is much confusion surrounding it.
So when we say Mayan Calendar, the first thing you need to know is that there is not just one Mayan Calendar. There are several. The Mayans had as many as seventeen calendars for many purposes such as crop planting, sacred ritual, to follow special planetary patterns, etc. Mayans were amazing timekeepers and were able to track time over long periods very accurately. They developed a complex set of calendars that go back many thousands of years and some experts feel as far back as the big bang.
For our purposes, there are only three you need to know about – The Long Count, the Tzolkin and the Haab. The Mayan Long Count Calendar marks a cycle of 5,125 years that ends on December 21, 2012. The Tzolkin is a 260 day sacred calendar that is woven into the Long Count. It consists of 13 repeating numbers and 20 day signs. You may be familiar with the signs which have names like monkey, serpent, jaguar, wind, etc. The Haab is the Mayan Calendar that has 365 days just as our Gregorian calendar does.
What contributes most to the confusion is that there is no agreed upon starting and ending time for any of these three calendars. Various experts have different ideas about the timing of each calendar. There are two end dates given for the Long Count although most people agree with the Dec 21, 2012 date. There are three versions of their 365 day calendar and none start on January 1. One starts on July 26 one on the spring equinox and the other one varies. Because the Tzolkin is tied to the other calendars, there are also three different start dates for it. So you can see there are no defined black and white lines here. By now you may be thinking that all of this sounds confusing and if experts cannot agree on one calendar, then why not chuck the whole thing! I urge you to take a different stance and be willing to look beyond the confusion to some of the amazing concepts the calendar presents.
Each version of the calendar has made a huge contribution to the understanding of what these changing times we are living in are about. A key concept that you’ll see repeated over and over in this blog is that we need to look at a zone of time in which the 2012 events are happening, rather that put so much focus on a specific date.
There are three main experts who have researched the calendar and I want to honor the work of each man. There is not agreement amongst them on many facets of the calendar; however each man gives us an important piece of the whole picture. As a way to model the new consciousness of the New Earth, I want to focus on the contribution each person has made and how that contributes to our awakening rather than try to resolve conflicting views or figure out the “right” date.
The three men are Jose Arguelles, who brought 2012 to the attention of the world. His calendar is known as the Dreamspell. John Major Jenkins is responsible for discovering the galactic alignment of 2012 and he works with the traditional calendar of the Quiche Mayan. Carl Johan Calleman’s work shows how the calendar measures, not just time, but the evolution of consciousness and how time is accelerating. He also works with the traditional Mayan calendar but uses a different end date. The one thing all three men agree upon is that the calendar does point to a major consciousness shift on the planet.
You may be wondering if there are Mayan spokespersons for the calendar and where they fit into the picture. There are three main Mayan elders that I see in the media from time to time – Don Alejandro Cirillo Perez Oxlaj, Hunbatz Men, and Carlos Barrios. Rather than focusing on a specific date, their main focus seems to be on the message thatthe calendar does not predict the end of the world, and on the bringing together of indigenous people for ceremony and sharing of knowledge.
In my next post, I will discuss the work of Jose Argüelles and the Dreamspell Calendar. The following two will be about the contributions of John Major Jenkins and Carl Johan Calleman.
In summary, I want to emphasize that there are several versions of the Mayan Calendar, all focused on a consciousness shift that is causing an awakening. And secondly, that what’s more important than waiting for a specific date for the shift to happen is to understand that we are in a zone of time right now in which the shift is happening. And lastly, that by working with concepts from the calendar, we can understand the unfolding of cycles such as our current economic situation, increase our attunement to nature and the universe, and be more prepared for the consciousness shift now occurring.
In this post, I want to focus on the very important concept that we have a choice in how the Awakening Shift unfolds. Secondly I want to stress that your choice is important. We often think that as one person, we cannot make a difference. But as we move toward 2012, one person’s choice will be the one that tips humanity in the direction that it ends up going.
So what makes me say that we have a choice? In a nut shell, we humans actually create life as it is on earth by our thoughts. We are all connected by an energy matrix which out-pictures the vibration of the collective thoughts in the matrix. Let me explain exactly what I mean by that statement. We have a choice, because we as humans, create life as it unfolds on planet Earth. Every thought we have, every feeling we have, every belief we have sends out a vibration. Remember the principle that everything is energy vibration. As we experience these, their vibration permeates the noosphere. This term describes what we might refer to as mass consciousness or the Earth’s mind.
Here is an explanation of the noosphere. In an article written byAnodea Judith about Teilhard de Charden, who coined the term noosphere, she says “He suggested that the Earth in its evolutionary unfolding, was growing a new organ of consciousness, called thenoosphere. The noosphere is analogous on a planetary level to the evolution of the cerebral cortex in humans. The noosphere is a “planetary thinking network” — an interlinked system of consciousness and information, a global net of self-awareness, instantaneous feedback, and planetary communication.
This concept is supported by Greg Braden’s work about the matrix, which he calls the Zero Point Field. At his workshop here in Tampa, he gave this example of how human thoughts and emotions can impact the energy field of the Earth. He said there are two satellites that measure the magnetic fields of the Earth. One day, scientists noticed a huge spike in the field and wondered what it meant. After overlaying a calendar on the data, they discovered it was Sept 11,2001. The disaster caused a heart opening in millions of people around the globe, which in turn was reflected in Earth’s energy field. So there seems to be proof that we humans impact what happens in the energy field of the earth.
The next step in the process is to realize that when enough people embrace a certain belief, a critical mass is reached and the belief spreads through the matrix impacting everyone. Using a wave in the ocean as a metaphor, we know that when enough drops have gather to form the wave, it reaches its tipping point, and there is no stopping it. All the water rushes forward. Same with humanity. As we seed the noosphere with a pattern of thought and a critical mass is reached, the change acclerates so that all of humanity is transformed by the new belief.
Another theory that expresses this same concept is known as the Hundredth Monkey Principle, in which monkeys changed their behavior when a critical mass had learned the new behavior. Although considered an urban legend by some, the work of Rupert Sheldrake supports this theory with his concept of morphic fields. The concept is that a critical mass is reached when, for instance a hundred monkeys learn the behavior.
So now to connect this principle to how important your choice is. Here is a personal story that demonstrates how that could work. About 20 years ago, John Randolph Price, who understood this concept, started a World Peace Meditation to take place each year on December 31st . Everyone adjusted the time for their time zone so we would all be mediating at the same time. I lived in the Northwest at that time, so 4:00 a.m. was the time I was to to meditate. Although I am not at all a morning person, for years I would get up for the World Peace Meditation. Sometimes my husband, at that time, would join me. Other times, he’d say, “I am sleeping through it this year” to which I would always jokingly reply, “But what if you are the hundredth monkey?”
So we are in that choice point now where a minority can make a tangible difference by spreading positive ideas to the majority. Just as one drop of water tipped the wave, it only takes a single individual to tip the wave of critical mass. So the question I leave you with is “What if you are the hundredth monkey– the person who causes the tipping point?”
Each one of us has a vote. How are you voting? Are you moving into fear and buying into concepts like those presented in the movie 2012 or are you holding for a world of abundance, joy, peace and goodness for all??
Here is a wonderful song about the choice you have to make. I heard Shawn Galloway sing it here in Tampa at the I Can Do It! Conference and it was so uplifting. Enjoy!
That’s my invitation to you – awaken to the awakening shift! And that’s why I have created this blog – to provide support, information, and tools to help you do just that.
With the 2012 movie having just been released, lots of folks are beginning to wonder what the real truth is about 2012. I say it is a deep and profound awakening in our consciousness that is causing a shift in how we experience our world. I have coined the term “Awakening Shift” to describe this awakening movement in consciousness that is creating a shift in our lives.
So in this first post, I’ll give a couple of examples of how we are waking up. But first, I want to define what I mean when I say consciousness. I am referring to our level of awareness, how attuned we are to all that is unfolding in our world- externally and internally. If we look at world history, we can see that we have been a pretty numbed out. Certainly, aware beings would not do to each other and the Earth what we have done.
But now, our race is waking up. In fact, we are waking up so much that, I believe, we are evolving into a new species. Several scholars subscribe to this theory and have suggested names for the new “us”. Homo spiritus is the name given by David Hawkins, MD, Ph.D. to beings who are awake and vibrating at a high level according to a consciousness scale he has developed. Alberto Villoldo, anthropologist and shaman has labeled it homo luminous to indicate that we are becoming beings whose energy fields are luminous. And Barbara Hand Clow, Cherokee elder and writer, calls the new human homo pacem, to indicate we are becoming a species focused on peace.
Another sign that we are coming out of our stupor is we are waking up to the needs of the planet as shown by the huge “green movement” now afoot. We are saying, “Ah, we are all in this together. Either we all survive, or no one survives.”
I invite you to go one step farther…. beyond the Green Movement and begin to look at the Earth as a living, sentient being. This is known as the “Gaia Principle.” Many indigenous people refer to the Earth as our Mother, indicating that she is an alive being who provides us with our physical needs to sustain life. In South America she is referred to as Pachamama meaning Mother Earth.
What I am saying is that the earth is not just a big hunk of rock and dirt whirling around the Sun. It is alive and has an awareness and consciousness, one that our human minds may not be able to comprehend. Opens another can of worms, though. If the Earth is alive, so is Mars, Venus, Jupiter and all the other planets…and the sun and the stars! We live in a universe of alive sentient beings that are expressing as stars and galaxies. How mind stretching is that!
So in this first post, I want to introduce these two concepts. We are evolving into a new species and we live on an alive sentient being. I know this isn’t news to many of you, but for others these concepts may occur as way outside of your comfort zone. However, the only way to wake up is to stretch ourselves out of our old way of thinking. So, I invite you to visit my blog often and leave comments so I can know what other questions have arisen out of my posts.
These are two of what I call my foundation principles that I suggest you will need to embrace to be able to align with the new energies and flourish on our New Earth. I have written an article entitled Five Foundation Principles of the Awakening Shift to explain these five principles. You can access it under articles.
